1 year Memoriam & Ice Cream Social
ALF hosted our first 1 year Memoriam and Ice Cream Social in remembrance of the late Awwal Ladipo. The main purpose of this event was to bring our community together as one on behalf of the foundation's motive to constantly make a change in the communities that our youth should thrive in.
ALF Annual Gala 2022
The Awwal Ladipo Foundation held it's very first Annual Black Tie Gala Night event on April 23, 2022. This event was a huge success in many ways! Not only were we able to award 9 scholarships of $1,000 to outstanding students but we were also able to raise enough money to hit our financial goal! We truly appreciate the love and support that we received from many donors, sponsors, and those who attended the event. Throughout this event we were able to hear wonderful and informative speeches from Representative Esther Agbaje and Community Leader Ian Oundo. Our event reflected on why youth violence in communities is such an important matter that needs to be focused on and how we as a society regardless of our different neighborhoods, backgrounds, race and cultures can contribute to making a change that we want to see in our communities.
Foundation Launch & Turkey Giveaway 2021
The Awwal Ladipo Foundation is
officially launched on November 20, 2021. This event consisted of establishing to the community our mission, values, and goals of
the foundation and also led into our introduction of the ALF Scholarship Program that high school, undergraduate, and graduate students are able to apply to. We also gave away 200 turkeys as a send away into the cheerful holiday of thanksgiving to enjoy with families.
The purpose of this event was to launch a foundation that is accessible to all especially those who are interested in learning more about our foundation and the plans we have to give back to our community, steer young people away from violence, and help guide young people down a path of christianity.
